1. Jon Snow Isn’t Dead - Game Of Thrones
The only people who thought that Jon Snow was actually dead following the end of Season 5 were people who had never seen a TV show before.
Sure, the show had killed off main characters before, but Kit Harrington had always felt immune to the Ned Stark rule. This is why, when Jon was stabbed to death by a group of rebels at The Wall, nobody expected his eternal rest to be that eternal.
At least the show wasn't obvious enough to resurrect him in the very next episode, waiting Season 6's second instalment to bring him back from the grave. However, when his eyes finally opened after Melisandre worked her magic, nobody was shocked.
Thrones fans had long suspected that Jon would play a big role in the show's finale. It was hard to see any resolution to the overall story that didn't involve him in a major way and having him cheat death only legitimised the theories that he would be at the centre of the show's climax.
Now we just have to wait and see if he's revived in the books. If George R. R. Martin ever actually finishes them...
