6. Succession
By the time the show returns, it will have been well over two years since Succession graced our screens but the good news is, you don't have to wait much longer. The BAFTA, Emmy, and Golden Globe award winning satirical drama will be returning to HBO on 17 October 2021.
The show follows the Roy family - owners of media and entertainment corporation Waystar RoyCo. When family patriarch Logan Roy (Brian Cox) falls ill, the remainder of the family fall into a bitter war over who will succeed Logan in running the company.
By the end of season two, Logan had selected his son Kendall to take the fall of the cruise ship sexual misconduct scandal, becoming the company's public scapegoat. However, during the press conference, Kendall deviated from the script and instead threw Logan under the bus.
In the official synopsis, HBO have teased that the press conference will cause the Roys to fall into an all-out "family civil war," with Logan rushing to "secure familial, political, and financial alliances." Well one thing is for certain, we can't wait to sit on the side-lines and watch.
