10 TV Shows You Should Stop Watching Before The Final Season
2. Orange Is The New Black
For quite a while, Orange is the New Black was one of my favourite shows on Netflix. After cancelling my Netflix, I reactivated it again just to watch the new series; I'd get through work waiting to catch a few episodes when I got home. It was my jam.
Imagine my disappointment as time went on and things started going south...
Whilst I genuinely don’t think that it ever got below a certain level of watchable, it set such a high bar in the first few seasons that as soon as things started slipping it was painfully obvious.
If you concentrated a little you began noticing the problems: the timelines didn't actually make sense if you really thought about it, bits of setting and plot started being moved around just for convenience, some characterisation started being thrown out the window in favour of some easy comedy - it was criminal!
Season Six was the tipping point for a lot of people, as the new location and the retiring of some well-loved characters left some with little motivation to carry on. With no specific end-goal in sight, it would be understandable to just drop off around here.
Once you’re through the very best that Orange is the New Black has to offer in the first few seasons, no one would blame you for not making it to the end.
