10 Unused Star Trek Ship Designs We NEED To See

2. Enterprise-F/Verity Class

The Verity-class USS Enterprise-F has long been a staple of Star Trek Online but has yet to be seen on-screen. With appearances in the comics and a model mass-produced by Eaglemoss, it has been established in full canon, so it seems only a matter of time before she appears in the main franchise.

The ship was originally designed as part of a fan contest by Adam Ihle. Cryptic Design held this competition to create the next Enterprise. The design was finalised by the Starfleet Corps of Engineers. Daniel Stahl, the executive producer on Star Trek Online, said that Ihle's design inspired them as to where Starfleet was headed in the future.

It captures the essence of the previous iterations of Enterprise while remaining much larger. It has twin necks rather than a single, solid piece. Its curve is most reminiscent of the Sovereign class, particularly in the shape of the saucer section.

Star Trek: Picard is set in the years following the Romulan Star going supernova and we know that Picard commanded one of these vessels during that time. With the second season set to introduce a new 'human element', fans are hoping that this means Geordi LaForge. He headed up the relief effort over Utopia Planitia, which would leave the door open to both flashbacks and the first on-screen appearance of this mighty vessel.
