3. The Haunting Of Bly Manor
The Haunting of Hill House became an instant hit for Netflix back in 2018, with critics praising the cast, directing and production values in what was considered one of the best ghost stories of the past decade. While the ten part supernatural horror was based on the eponymous novel and very much told that story, it didn't stop the streamer from franchising the series in an anthology format, green-lighting a follow-up based on a different classic text.
That's where The Haunting of Bly Manor comes in. An adaptation of Henry James' chilling The Turn Of The Screw, it reunites cast members Victoria Pedretti, Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Henry Thomas and Kate Siegel as they join a new cast, portraying different characters in a very different story.
Pedretti is now in the lead role and plays a governess tasked with looking after two unusual children. If you've seen the trailer already, you'll know that it isn't long until supernatural horror ensues. And if it's anything like the previous season, Netflix have themselves a solid anthology series on their hands.
