10 Upcoming TV Show Reboots (And Their Chances Of Survival)
4. Animaniacs
The Original: If you were a '90s kid, there’s a good chance your daily routine consisted of rushing home from school and watching the half-hour animated insanity that was Animaniacs. Starring Yakko, Wakko, and Dot, the three siblings would wreak havoc on the Warner Brothers lot. Of course, you can’t talk about the Animaniacs without mentioning the diabolical/dumb duo of Pinky and the Brain. Sure, they wanted to overtake the world, but c’mon, they were lab mice.
The Reboot: Given the show’s popularity, it’s kind of amazing that it’s taken 20 years to get a full-fledged reboot. Fans of the series can expect the original voice actors to reprise their roles, and yes, Pinky and the Brain will be returning along with the title characters. The new series won’t hit Hulu until 2020, with original executive producer Steven Spielberg back on board, as well as new showrunner Wellesley Wild from Family Guy.
Chance Of Survival: Assuming that Yakko, Wakko, and Dot haven’t mellowed in their old age, the series should be as ridiculous as ever.
