10 Upcoming TV Shows That Will Break The Internet

4. Secret Invasion

By its title alone, Marvel's Secret Invasion has the potential to be epic; that being due to how Secret Invasion is an epic 2008 comic book crossover story that features a genuine who's who of Marvel Comics.

In utilising that title, though, Marvel Studios may be making a rod for their own back when it comes to this upcoming Disney+ show. For long-term comics fans hearing the name Secret Invasion, they'll be envisioning something of truly massive proportions. When it comes to this Disney+ offering, though, it will be a lot smaller in scale than its gigantic namesake.

The '08 Secret Invasion saw the Kree invade Earth, infiltrate certain superhero teams, and end up in an all-out war with the likes of Iron Man, Spider-Man, Black Widow, Wolverine, Wasp, Ms. Marvel, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Hawkeye, Ronin, Bucky Barnes, Thor, the Fantastic Four, the Young Avengers, and Nick Fury's Secret Warriors.

All of this eventually leads to S.H.I.E.L.D. being disbanded and replaced by the Norman Osborn-led H.A.M.M.E.R., with Osborn then unable to stop himself from doing very Norman Osborn things.

TV-wise, the Secret Invasion series will be more minimalistic. While the shape-shifting Skrulls will indeed have infiltrated all facets of Earth life, the only heroes confirmed to appear so far are Nick Fury, Maria Hill and Skrull ally Talos. That said, the involvement in unknown roles of Olivia Colman, Emilia Clarke, Kingsley Ben-Adir and Happy Gilmore uber-prick Christopher McDonald certainly grabs the attention.
