Horror maestro Mike Flanagan (The Haunting of Hill House, Midnight Mass) continues his industrious-yet-incredible work in the genre with his upcoming Netflix series The Fall of the House of Usher.

Adapted from Edgar Allen Poe's terrifying gothic short story of the same name, and centered around themes of mental illness, isolation, and family, it's reasonable to expect another emotionally devastating offering from Flanagan.

Given that Flanagan's work with Netflix over the last few years has expertly melded chilling horror fare with genuinely upsetting character-driven stories, there's no reason to expect any different from his latest project.

Expect to be left rattled and destroyed by the deep-dish existential storytelling, yet appreciative of Flanagan's work behind the camera and the work of the incredible ensemble cast, including Bruce Greenwood, Carla Gugino, Mark Hamill, Rahul Kohli, Henry Thomas, Kate Siegel, Zach Gilford, and many more.

The Fall of the House of Usher premieres in late 2023.
