It may seem a little blasphemous to suggest a reboot of Firefly without its original cast. But given that 18 years have passed since it was made, and more than one of the characters has canonically died, it might be a good choice to start over.

Netflix has proved its sci-fi capabilities with The Expanse, and its ability to reach households the world over seems like a recipe for success.

Armie Hammer would be a good choice to play a convincing Malcolm Reynolds, and Aaron Ashmore would be perfect as a young Wash. Tessa Thompson could bring an interesting presence to the crew as Zoe, with Elle Fanning and Kaylee.

There are a lot of possibilities for this to be great, and with Netflix delivering more and more exclusive content, this could be a big winner for them. Netflix has been no stranger to saving cult TV shows in the past either, so it wouldn't exactly be out the realm of possibility.
