10 Weird Horror TV Shows That Are Worth Watching
9. Crow's Blood
The Japanese know how to make uncomfortable and downright scary cinema. Ju On, Audition, The Ring, are seminal pieces of surreal and terrifying horror that have influenced the genre greatly over the years. However, what about Japanese TV horror shows, and are there any that can match up to the cinematic greats?
Crow's Blood is about the science of regeneration through stem cell research. If someone is injured or maimed, they’re effectively able to heal themselves rapidly. The series takes place in a girl’s college, focusing on student Maki who was recently experimented on after suffering a fatal accident. What soon takes place is a horror that features plenty of gore and a very potent virus.
Crow's Blood stands out because of its atmosphere and use of imagery; the series drips with the surreal and the curious. Whilst it tells a story that’s not wholly original it is still weird enough to be included on this list.
