10 Worst Doctor Who Performances Ever

2. Catherine Tate (Donna) - The Runaway Bride

Catherine Tate€™s opening performance as Donna isn't too dissimilar to listening to someone scratching their nails down a blackboard. Yes, she does eventually become a well rounded and very likeable character who develops lots of chemistry and depth with the Doctor, but her introduction was painful. The good news is that Catherine Tate doesn't come across as wooden or trying too hard to play a character that just doesn't work. The bad news is that she is on absolutely top form when it comes to the over-the-top, loud mouthed, decibel shattering, Essex annunciating character that she has become famous for elsewhere. Thank goodness she dials it down a notch and the writers actually brought in some character development and quieter scenes for Donna to take part in later.

I have been described as a sportsman with the brain of an athlete and the body of a scientist. Since it was established that playing wouldn't work out for me I have taken to writing.
