Imagine a loving, caring family unit, with parents who are doing everything they can to raise their children in a healthy environment. Then flip that so that the exact opposite is happening, and you've got Al and Peggy Bundy. It's fitting that they share a last name with the infamous serial killer Ted Bundy, because both of them seem like borderline sociopaths themselves. Al has no interest in his family, and spends most of his time resenting their very existence. Peggy is the pinnacle of selfishness, using all of Al's meager earnings from the shoe store to buy things for herself, instead of seeing to the necessities of her two children. What can you say about a mother who not only accepts her teenager daughter's relationship with a much older politician, but actually encourages her to dress sluttier before dates with him and lavishes praise on her, while their much more hard-working (if equally morally bankrupt) son is ignored?
