11 Awesome Netflix TV Shows (That Aren't Available In The UK)

10. The Walking Dead

With season six of AMC€™s The Walking Dead up and running, it would be nice to be able to catch up on some of the earlier seasons, just as a refresher before the bloodshed kicks in to overdrive. This is perfectly possible for Netflix users in the United States, with the first three seasons available for America€™s viewing pleasure. Unfortunately for those of us watching in the United Kingdom, Rick and his gang of survivors are nowhere to be seen. The opening episode of the latest season of the Frank Darabont€™s adaptation of the classic graphic novels has been met favourably by critics, with the consensus that the half black-and-white 90 minute curtain raiser was a bold effort that paid off for the show€™s creators. Even six seasons in to the show The Walking Dead has the guts to be inventive and daring with its format and its characters. Nobody is safe in the apocalyptic States, not even Rick, who could easily end up walker-chow this time around. Reviews of the seasons leading up the point we find ourselves now at have also been overwhelmingly positive, with AMC€™s show credited for being emotionally resonant and extremely bloody while still managing to bring something new to the largely overcrowded zombie subgenre of horror. The success has spawned a companion prequel entitled Fear The Walking Dead as well as a number of webisodes, though all of them are yet to pop up on Netflix.

Phil still hasn't got round to writing a profile yet, as he has an unhealthy amount of box sets on the go.
