11 Best 11th Doctor Episodes
5. The God Complex
Steven Moffat is most at home when he's actively trying to give Doctor Who's child fanbase nightmares for the rest of their lives, and this is by far the scariest episode of the 11th era.
In this creeping, haunting story in the vein of the absolute best of Stephen King, The Doctor and crew find themselves sidetracked in a weird hotel with pictures of random people all over the place, and some random folks running around. Turns out the hotel is really some kind of sick maze being run by a mysterious monster whose mere presence drives you to insane suicidal worship of it, before finally killing you.
Every room inhabits something that haunts the humans running throughout its halls. Is it their fears, their doubts, their beliefs? The Doctor can't quite figure it out, and every moment he spends trying, someone else dies. In the end, The Doctor will have to confront the things that he fears even admitting are there, in order to save his friends.
It's a chilling tale of fear and faith that will leave any kid watching shaken to their core.
