Person of Interest is a crime drama series, centred around a vigilante group that prevents crimes before they even happen using a highly advanced surveillance system. You might already be seeing parallels to the recent scandals involving the N.S.A., but one episode in particular proved that the truth can indeed be stranger than fiction. "No Good Deed" from season 1 is about a young, male N.S.A. whistle-blower named Henry Peck. Peck discovers that his agency is conducting large-scale, illegal surveillance. He leaks information to journalists in secret, and soon finds himself being hunted by the government. All of this aired a year before the real-life Edward Snowden was the centre of an almost identical situation.
