Doctor Who Sister Lamont Terror of the Zygons
BBC Studios

Lillias Walker played Sister Lamont in the Fourth Doctor serial Terror Of The Zygons. She was one of those humans who had been abducted and copied by the invaders, though she was saved by the Doctor before he set their ship to self-destruct - so no harm done!

Walker was born in Scotland and had a long television career. She may best be remembered for her role as Rosemary Cartland in sixty episodes of The Cedar Tree, a series following the daily happenings of an aristocratic family in the 1930s.

She was married to her husband Peter Vaughan for fifty years before he died in 2016. To many, he would best remembered as Maester Aemon on Game Of Thrones.

Walker died in August 2023, at 93 years of age.
