Brigit Forsyth appeared as Ruth Maxtible in the Second Doctor serial The Evil Of The Daleks. The beleaguered character was engaged to a man who was under the Daleks' control, though The Doctor was able to save them all, and encouraged Maxtible to get the heck out of dodge.

Forsyth was an actor who never seemed to be out of work, including appearances in almost all of the major UK soap operas. One of her most notable roles was that of Thelma Farris/Chambers in Whatever Happened To The Likely Lads? She would also make an impression with her role as Madge in Still Open All Hours.

She was a talented musician, playing and composing for the cello. She was able to combine her acting and musical skills several times in her career, such as in 2004 when she was cast in Cello And The Nightingale.

Forsyth died in December 2023, at 83 years of age.
