12 Actors Who Screwed Up Their Big TV Chances By Getting Fired

3. Shannen Doherty - Beverly Hills, 90210, Charmed & 90210

Most of the people on this list were fired from one show. But Shannen Doherty has the distinction of being fired from not one, not two, but three shows. Doherty has always been a notoriously difficult actress to work with, causing friction on the set of all three series. She was fired from Beverly Hills, 90210 after the fourth season because of constant bickering. Her work after Beverly Hills, 90210 consisted of a string of made-for-TV movies until she was cast as Prue Halliwell on The WB drama Charmed. Doherty didn't fare any better on Charmed and, just like in Beverly Hills, 90210, there was much conflict on the set. In 2001, Doherty was fired from the show, reportedly after Alyssa Milano threatened to quit unless Doherty was fired. One would think Doherty had learned her lesson, and things seemed to be looking up when, in 2009, she was offered a recurring role on 90210, The CW network's reboot of Beverly Hills, 90210. However, after the first taping, producers learned that Doherty was still difficult to work with. She reported argued with people, ordered changes in scripts, costumes, and props, and generally wanted things her way. The producers decided she wasn't worth the hassle, and fired her after one episode.
