Grandpa Simpson as a professional wrestler? It's more likely than you think!

Actually, Gorgeous Grampa (from Season 24) does a lot of things right, including eschewing the current generation of professional wrestlers and focusing on the days of yore, when not everyone was in on the fact that wrestling is a work.

It casts Grandpa as a heel character (Glamorous Godfrey), who was extremely popular on the wrestling circuit in his younger days, something Bart uncovers by accident. Bart becomes Godfrey's biggest fan after Burns reveals the truth about his wrestling past, and eventually the two are convinced to become a tag team as Grandpa comes out of retirement. However, he later decides a face character would be a better role model for his grandson, and becomes "Honest Abe" - eventually teaming up with Bart and taking on Mr. Burns, who has turned against them.

Seems like the only heel bigger than Mr. Burns is Fox itself.
