12 Most Memorable Walkers From The Walking Dead

8. The Lone Walker

Lone Walker The lone Walker was seen in the season two episode "18 Miles Out" when Rick and Shane were driving 18 miles away from Hershel's farm with the intention of abandoning Randall (which doesn't actually end up happening) - whom they saw as a threat to their group. On the journey back to the farm, the lone Walker is seen ambling through a field, isolated. The viewer sees it as Shane does as he gazes out of the car window and it is poignant because it reflects how he currently feels - it's like he is looking at himself. Despite the fact that he is in the car with his best friend and the fact that he is part of a large group of survivors, he is lonely. He has just had a day of regrettable actions (fighting his best friend) and no longer has Lori (whom he had been sleeping with when Rick was thought dead) and he feels alone. The lone Walker is also memorable because it's one of the first Walkers that the viewer feels sorry for and, in this case, that's all the more memorable because the camera doesn't even get close enough to see its face.
