The Always Sunny team don’t always get along like a house on fire. In fact, more often than not, they’re antagonising, annoying, or embarrassing one another. Sometimes this is intentional and other times it’s through idiocy, but it always makes for an entertaining watch.

Dennis undoubtedly gets more wound up by these antics than anyone else in the gang. The egotistical sociopath believes himself to be a class above his peers and thinks very little of them. To him, the gang should be grateful to be in his presence and should respect him as such.

In the episode Frank’s Back in Business, Dennis, Dee and Mac find a wallet containing VIP box tickets to see the Philadelphia Eagles. Whilst Dennis wants to take on the persona of the tickets’ owner and play the role of a high-flying socialite, Mac and Dee have other ideas and begin to steal everything they can the moment they enter the box. Dennis reprimands the pair for doing so, feeling embarrassed by their actions.

There’s a throwback to this encounter in Season Thirteen’s The Gang Wins The Big Game. This time, the gang are watching the Eagles at the Superbowl, but Dennis is not in attendance. In his place, Mac attempts to take on the group leader role and tells an over-enthusiastic Dee to stop being embarrassing.

He does have a reputation as a badass to protect, after all.
