6. Charlie Has A Strange Obsession With Denim

This is definitely one of the more unusual entries on this list, but one worth mentioning because it comes up time and time again. Charlie seems to have a weird obsession with denim. There are numerous, odd denim references throughout the series, so we’ve provided a quick breakdown below.

In Frank’s Pretty Woman, both Charlie and Frank are seen boiling denim in a large pot. (Because why not?) Later in this episode, Charlie convinces Mac to join him in sporting a denim jacket and jeans combo, claiming that the outfits were “the only call” worth making.

In Charlie Kelly: King of The Rats, the gang are looking for a way to cheer Charlie up. They discover his dream book which includes, amongst other things, denim chicken. The gang are confused by this and end up putting denim shorts on a roast chicken. It turns out this is exactly what Charlie wanted and he recognises it immediately.
