5. It Took Her A Decade To Land Steady Work In Hollywood

Hendricks moved from London to Los Angeles in the pursuit of an acting career in 1997, and it was certainly a challenging time for the actress, as she didn't fully cement herself as a star until winning the Mad Men role in 2007, a whole decade later. After debuting in Undressed, she had multi-episode roles on shows such as Beggars and Choosers, ER, Firefly, Kevin Hill and Jake in Progress, but sadly nothing which was a permanent tenure or led to a part in a high-profile movie. Then 2007 came and she blew up overnight, and though she's kept herself pretty busy with Mad Men (appearing mostly in brief supporting roles in films), she has quite the movie career waiting for her if she wants it when the show finishes.
