12 Most Touching Moments On The Simpsons

12. Homer Pours Bender One Last Beer

Episode: Season 26 - "Simpsorama" The Simpsons/Futurama crossover episode from the current season turned out far better than anticipated, and for the most part hit all the right notes. From Homer trying to use his own imagined lateness getting home from the bar to explain noises coming from downstairs (Marge: "Homer, I think there's someone downstairs!" Homer: "Relax, Marge, it's probably just Homer coming home late from Moe's!"), Homer attempting to force Santa's Little Helper to protect the family, then Bart, and getting bit by both, to Moe calling Bender "Blade Rummy," there was a lot to like in the episode. The touching moment, however, was when Bender "went to sleep" for 1000 years to make it back to the future. Futurama has had Bender do this before - it seems time doesn't wear out his circuits any - but Homer pouring one last beer into him was perfect. Now Bender joins the big head statue in the Simpsons basement.
