7. Seymour - Futurama
Arguably the best boy on television, Seymour Asses was Fry's dog prior to his freezing at the start of Futurama. Named after the prank address he had been given when delivering a pizza, Fry and Seymour instantly hit it off as best friends after sharing a meal between them.
When Fry goes out for another delivery on New Year's Eve, Seymour actually does try to stop him; naturally, this turns out to be the night where Fry is accidentally frozen at Applied Cryogenics and awakes in the year 3000. When his master doesn't come home that night, Seymour begins a frantic hunt for Fry, and does manage to track him down, but fails to get anyone to discover him.
Having been told to wait outside Panucci's Pizza for him, Seymour settles down outside the pizza shop and begins waiting for Fry to come back. By now the audience can begin to piece together where this story is going and the flash forwards of Seymour staying exactly where Fry told him to as the world rolls on around him really is a powerful image that really shouldn't belong in comedy cartoon.
