They are all about to be surpassed in these stakes by the UK's Channel Four - a channel formerly known as the punk rock alternative station, which now shows The Great British Bake-Off. Because they're sending one reality TV star - Scarlett Moffatt, who is famous in the UK for starring in a TV show about people watching TV - and her whole family to Namibia to see how different living in the North of England is to living among tribes in Africa.
But there's a difference here that's really telling. Rather than them being asked to integrate, the four-part season will drop them with all of their mod-cons and AN EXACT REPLICA OF THEIR ACTUAL HOUSE into a remote Namibian village to see what happens.
