Not to mention the fact that, thanks to the eternal wisdom of network executives, the tv adaptation of his sci fi dystopia Snowpiercer somehow became a drab and pointless cop show during its tortured journey to the small screen.
How did a story of rebelling against unjust authority and changing unfair systems become another adoring portrait of cops at a time when their place in contemporary society couldn't be more controversial and contested?
It's unclear, but one thing is for certain. The only satire funnier and sadder than Parasite is the sight of the revolutionary Snowpiercer becoming a piece of formulaic, uninspired copaganda.
