3. The Tenth Doctor
"I've seen fake gods and bad gods and demigods and would-be gods - out of all that - out of that whole pantheon - if I believe in one thing... just one thing... I believe in her." - The Satan Pit
The Tenth Doctor was one of the best loved incarnations of our hero due to the sheer level of emotion packed into the performance by David Tennant. Tennant was masterful in his portrayal and allowed fans to gain yet another level in insight into our favourite hero. Perhaps one of the most poignant elements of the Tenth Doctor's persona (especially in his earlier days) was his adoration of Rose. This line, taken from a larger speech in 'The Satan Pit', demonstrates just how human the Doctor can be - especially in the old fashioned ways of love. What makes this line inspirational is the power behind it. The Doctor puts all of his faith in Rose Tyler, the woman he loves. Love or loathe this facet of the Doctor's past and personality, it's undeniably inspirational that someone like the Doctor can have such feeling for someone that he'd risk his own life by putting such unwavering faith in Rose.
