2. Luke Cage

After Daredevil and Jessica Jones, the next Defender to get the spotlight on Netflix is Luke Cage.

Few 2016 TV shows, whether they're new or returning, regardless of what time of year they're airing, have been as anticipated as Marvel's Luke Cage, the third character to get his own show in the build-up to The Defenders (with Iron Fist on the way next year).

Putting the focus on Cage, who was a supporting character in Jessica Jones, and moving the action from Hell's Kitchen to Harlem, the series should offer everything fans of the shows have come to expect, with complex heroes and villains and great action, but also have a different vibe as well, with music playing a huge part throughout. Early buzz is very positive, and this should be at least as good as its predecessors.
