3. It Still Feels Pointless Without Hannah

Look, this point has been talked about ever since the show returned to screens for its second season, but given how that offering turned out, it's a point that clearly still needs to be discussed.

13 Reasons Why was the story of Hannah Baker - a tragic story that haunted the characters she left behind, and through the show's utilisation of flashbacks, we witnessed the horrifying emotional trauma that she went through as it played out parallel to the emotional trauma that the people who loved her went through in the aftermath of her death.

Thanks to the show's format, both aspects of her story were covered. There was no necessity for a second season and, following the reaction to that, there was certainly no need for a third. And no matter how compelling the Season 3 narrative looks, it will still struggle to justify its own existence.
