15 Anime To Binge After Attack On Titan Ends

Although Attack on Titan is a breathtaking example of anime, there's one thing it misses out on, and that's the irreverence of the medium. Anime takes itself seriously but also has a goofy side, which helps to make it a blast. If you want a show that captures both its silly and severe aspects, look no further than Blue Exorcist.

The story of Blue Exorcist follows the hot-headed Rin, a young man who finds out that he is the offspring of Satan himself. But, rather than cuddling up to his demonic daddy, he joins the True Cross Academy alongside his brother and seeks to destroy his father - makes for an awkward family dinner.

Simply put, Blue Exorcist is a delight. It's hard to watch the series and not get sucked into its balance of off-beat humour and intense action. If you can sit through the series without pumping your fists or letting out a few giggles, then you're just as heartless as the demons the hero fights.

However, it's also grounded in an emotional story about siblings, as Rin and his fraternal twin Yukio manage their sordid past and struggle both against/with each other.
