The actor Alyson Hannigan has had an excellent career. She has crossed over a wide array of genres and added many iconic characters to her repertoire, some of her most notable being from the likes of American Pie and How I Met Your Mother.
Still, her best TV performance and character to date have to be Willow from Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
In this super cool show about the titular vampire-slaying heroine, Willow stood out instantly as one of the best characters. Instantly likeable, as most of Alyson's performances are, Willow delved right into the viewer's hearts and provided a high contrast to the other characters in the show, which makes everything that she goes through all the more tragic and watchable.
This show also gave us Seth Green as Oz, a great character in his own right, and it feels relevant to bring up Seth Green for being an iconic Ginger actor. Unfortunately, he has not had a TV role that gives him a character able to make it onto the list.
