14. My Half Acre (Season 5, Episode 9)

Considering each episode is only twenty or so minutes long, it's often a wonder how much the writers are able to fit into just one story. In My Half-Acre, JD finds himself on a blind date with the klutzy but lovable Julie, Turk joins the Janitor's air band, and Dr Cox refuses to kiss his son as he worries he can't be a good father.
Between Turk's epic dance moves and JD's awkward but endearing budding relationship, My Half-Acre is a perfect encapsulation of how good Scrubs is at balancing the humour with the drama. Painting a more fun picture of life within the hospital, it also serves as a reminder that both Cox and Kelso are both big softies at heart, and that at this point in the show it looks as though JD is finally ready to grow up and chase a real relationship.
