15 Doctor Who Actors Who Have Been In Game Of Thrones

11. Ian Hanmore (Father Angelo/Pyat Pree)

Hanmore's Doctor Who role occured in Series 2 when he played Father Angelo, the head of the athletic monks in Tooth and Claw. Working for and worshipping the Werewolf, Angelo schemes to have Queen Victoria infected with the alien virus that causes a human being to transform into a hulking wolf by letting the Werewolf loose in the house where she is staying. He is ultimately shot dead by the Queen but the episode's ambiguous ending suggests that he might have been successful after all. In Game of Thrones he plays Pyat Pree, the rather creepy Warlock from the city of Qarth who schemes to lure Daenerys Targaryen to The House of the Undying, the home of the Warlocks in Qarth, in order to steal her dragons and claim power for himself. His scheme backfires rather fatally and he is burnt alive in dragonfire on Daenerys' order. It seems Hanmore makes a habit of playing characters killed by royalty...
