15 Greatest BoJack Horseman Episodes Of All Time

9. Nice While It Lasted (Season 6, Episode 16)

BoJack Horseman The Showstopper

Many shows have a problem when it comes to the final episode. Finales from the likes of Dexter, How I Met Your Mother and Lost have all proven that it doesn't matter how great the show is - if the finale is not up to scratch, that's what it'll be remembered for in the long run. BoJack Horseman not only ends on a high, but does it as only BoJack could, with ambiguity and satisfaction all at once.

Nice While It Lasted, is, by all accounts, a very simple episode, featuring the voices of only the main cast. BoJack is allowed a weekend out of jail to attend Princess Carolyn's wedding, and during the reception he makes amends with Todd (finally), talks amicably with Mr Peanutbutter, and shares a dance with Carolyn. In the episode's final moments, he sits on the roof with Diane, sharing a silence as they look at the sky.

The finale is not extravagant, but it is beautiful, allowing BoJack reconnect with the most important people in his life and teasing some kind of happy ending for the controversial star. The fact that we don't get to see what happened in this new chapter of his life just makes the episode all the more effective.
