15 Life Lessons Bob's Burgers Taught Us

7. It's Important To Have Dreams

Going through every single episode of the cartoon shows evidence that dreams are quite a big theme in Bob's Burgers, for every character. Great emphasis is placed on Tina's zombie make out dreams. Gene aspires to be a famous musician one day. Linda dreams of beautiful men, and all Louise wants is to make some serious dollar. But more prominent than all are Bob's dreams. His dream of being a popular restaurant owner is only beaten by his desire in later episodes to create and enjoy an amazing Thanksgiving. The fact that his entire family do nothing in order to help him succeed is besides the point. Bob doesn't give up. Ok, so he gets wasted. And his turkey is ambushed three times. And the year after he gets drunk again and is relegated to the role of chef instead of being the father. But he persists and persists, and ends up with some great hallucinations and the inevitable adoration of his family. So dream big, kids. Else you'll never get to ride on a turkey.

I love Stephen King and music festivals; I eat my toast upside down; I daydream about getting married probably a bit too much; and I wish every day for a pet sausage dog puppy (who never materialises – sob).
