15 Most Anticipated Horror TV Shows Of 2025

9. Wednesday Season 2

It Welcome to Derry Chris Chalk
Netflix

It's crazy to think it's now over two years since Wednesday's debut season landed on Netflix back in November 2022, but somehow here we are - entering 2025 with a second season on the horizon.

Again, this is a new season that's yet to have a specific premiere date announced, but Netflix has at least put a bunch of casting news out there for the now-wrapped Season 2. As well as Jenna Ortega and the first season's familiar faces, amongst the new additions joining the fun this time out are heavy hitters Steve Buscemi, Thandiwe Newton, Joanna Lumley, Billie Piper, Heather Matarazzo, and Christopher Lloyd. Of course, Lloyd played Uncle Fester in the '90s Addams Family movies, meaning he'll follow in the footsteps of Christina Ricci in being an Addams alumnus joining Wednesday.

Ortega has promised that Wednesday's second year will lean more into horror elements than its predecessor, with the bulk of the season to once again centre around Nevermore Academy.
