13. The Return Of Agent Cooper - Twin Peaks
Twin Peaks ended on a huge cliffhanger at the end of the second season, but after the show was canned and prequel movie Fire Walk With Me bombed, it seemed the odds of revisiting Twin Peaks were zero. David Lynch also once said in an interview he’d never return, stating the show was “dead as a doornail.”
Fans had a heart attack in 2014 when it was announced that not only was the show coming back, but Lynch himself was directing every episode. The news has only gotten better since then, with most of the original cast returning and the number of episodes doubling from nine to eighteen.
The thing that has most fans giddy is the return of Agent Dale Cooper, the quirky FBI agent with a fondness for good pie and coffee. Kyle MacLachlan returns to the part, and we’ll finally learn what happened to the loveable agent following his possession in the final scene of season two.
