15 Things You Didn't Know About Kat Dennings

14. She Wrote A Script Which Ended Up On The 2008 Black List Of Best Unproduced Screenplays

One of Dennings' most impressive and least-known achievements is that she wrote a 2008 screenplay entitled Your Dreams Suck with her brother Geoffrey Litwack, which ended up on the famous Hollywood Black List, an esteemed survey that charts the best unproduced screenplays sent to agents every year. It's notoriously difficult to land a place on the list, and doing so can boost a screenwriter's profile massively overnight. Their script received 6 mentions on the list, ranking it on the same ground as screenplays for A.C.O.D., Bad Teacher, Child 44, Easy A, and London Boulevard, which of course were all eventually made into feature films. Sadly, nothing has come of this one so far yet, though. Of landing on the list, Dennings simply commented with utter surprise that she and her brother's script "somehow" made it on there. Who doesn't love a little modesty?
