15 WORST Performances In Game Of Thrones
5. Joel Fry - Hizdahr Zo Loraq
Daenerys ruling Mereen was another tedious story-line. This isn't entirely surprising as there was simply far too much in the books to get into the show, meaning that this part of the story was always going to be a struggle, but the writers still could've handled this part of the show better. In particular, this character was a major error.
Hizdahr Zo Loraq was the main representative of the city's nobility throughout and did nothing but pester Daenerys to reopen the fighting pits and propose to her, before suddenly being killed off by the Sons of the Harpy.
Hizdahr Zo Loraq was a terrible character and actor Joel Fry was basically screwed thanks to how poorly written Loraq was; sure enough, he gave a very dull performance fitting for a very dull character and failed to ever give Loraq some much-needed life.
Fry is a perfectly capable actor - for example, he's a good laugh in Danny Boyle's Yesterday - but unfortunately being on TV's biggest show will not go down as one of his finer moments.
