17 Shows To Binge-Watch Before They Return This Fall

12. The Blacklist

This crime drama stars James Spader as Raymond Reddington, aka Red and one of the FBI€™s most wanted criminals, who surprises everyone by turning himself in. He promises a list of dangerous criminals in return for immunity, with the catch that he will only work with rookie agent Elizabeth Keen (Megan Boone).

It was a bit of a breakout hit in its first season, leading to a €˜back-nine€™ order and then eventually a second run, and now its third will air from September 24 on NBC, with the series shown on Sky Living in the UK.

It€™s a procedural full of twists and turns, but the show really rests itself on the shoulders of Spader. So far he€™s been able to carry it, and doesn€™t look like buckling anytime soon. His vocal talents alone - displayed in Avengers: Age of Ultron earlier this year - are worthy of tuning in for.
