20 Best Breaking Bad Moments

What made Breaking Bad so special? Certainly it was a combination of a few different factors: the outstanding casting and acting contributions by Emmy winners Bryan Cranston, Aaron Paul and Anna Gunn; the superb writing by an outstanding team pieced together by show-runner Vince Gilligan; the sweeping locations, the stella direction and the highly heralded journey made by Walter White from bumbling high school chemistry teacher to methamphetamine kingpin. Quite honestly, all this is true but writing it simply like that doesn't seem to do the show justice. What Breaking Bad did right was take critical moments in the journey of Walter and Jesse and turn them into visually and audibly unique events that set a new standard for artistic merit, emotional investment and superb cinematography in a mixture not before nor since seen on television, network or cable. It wasn't just the death of a character or a personal moment of pride, triumph or despair, it was a potent, visual twist of a knife in the hearts of every breathing viewer, inspiring a show as ultimately addictive as the trademark blue meth created by Walter White himself. It goes without saying that this will contain spoilers.
