20 Best TV Shows Of 2019

Rick & Morty has largely continued its run as being one of the most consistent and inventive shows on TV, but a couple of things hurt its ranking here. Firstly, Claw And Hoarder: Special Ricktim’s Morty was the rarest of missteps for the show, and secondly with only a handful of episodes to its name, that sex dragon became an albatross around its neck.

Edge Of Tomorty: Rick Die Rickpeat was a fantastic premiere, and the show has continued its strange blend of surrealism, improv humour and nihilism. The Old Man And The Seat continued Rick’s self exploration, though perhaps not quite as well as previous episodes have.

This half of Season Four has largely avoided any over arching story so far, in exchange for more wacky adventures. With a full season this year it might have climbed even higher.
