Jonathan Groff's Rogue may seem like an obvious character to bring back in Doctor Who Season 2 and beyond, but it's also entirely possible that he'll go the way of Kylie Minogue's Astrid and be well and truly dead.

Rogue was a compelling character – a viable romantic partner for the Doctor who had a dark past. While, yes, this effectively makes him River Song 2.0, Rogue's more stand-offish, secretive side presented a fascinating mirror image of the Doctor themselves.

It feels like there are plenty more stories to tell about Rogue and the Doctor, as long as the Disney money stretches to bringing back Jonathan Groff as a recurring cast member!
