Okay, this is technically cheating, but there's no way to pick out one moment of Advanced Dungeons and Dragons that stands above another. The whole episode is endlessly inventive, and takes such a simple concept - a group of people sitting in a room and playing Dungeons and Dragons - and makes it work for a televised audience.

The jokes all hit, and they make sense, and making this the #1 choice was easy, because this moment is when Community leaped from great to legendary. The saga of Fat Neil was well played by all the characters involved. Britta played to her type, Troy had the one-liners, Abed was the rock that kept the game going, Shirley and Annie had strong showings in their respective roles, and even Chang had a brief moment to flex his comedy muscles.

But, nobody shone as brightly as Pierce.

Having previously established his insecurities of being left out of the group provided him with all the ammunition he needed to go from lovable curmudgeon to wicked villain and then back again in the span of one episode. The episode worked on all levels. It's dedication to the mini world it created only made the jokes funnier, and the occasional real world references all the more biting. It was Pierce's finest moment, and the probably the show's as well.
