9. Pretty Much Everyone From The Shield's Been In It

Kurt Sutter seemed to appear out of nowhere. The superstar creator and showrunner of Sons Of Anarchy was the whose unique vision has been followed through the series' existence, and yet he'd never actually ran a TV show before. How did somebody who seemed like a relative rookie get access to such a big toybox, let alone a cast as top-notch as populates Charming? Well, The Shield, duh. Kurt Sutter was a lead writer for the influential crooked cop drama for most of its existence, becoming an Executive Producer in the later seasons. He also appeared a couple of times as the mute psychopathic hitman Margos Dezerian, prefiguring his appearance as incarcerated SAMCRO member Otto Delaney. Sons Of Anarchy almost certainly happened because of Sutter's key role in The Shield, but he never forgets his pals.
