20 Mind-Blowing Facts You Never Knew About American Dad

15. Fox Lied About The 150th Episode

Fox

Back in Season 9, Fox made a massive deal about American Dad's 150th episode, claiming it was Lost In Space, which sees Jeff bargain for his freedom with slavers from Roger's species. The thing is, this is actually the 151st; the real 150th, The Full Cognitive Redaction of Avery Bullock by the Coward Stan Smith, aired a week earlier.

Landmark episodes are always made a big deal of - for its own 100th American Dad delightfully subverted and played up to expectations with a Jeff and Hayley wedding story - which makes this all a little devious. Lost In Space is an important episode in terms of overarching continuity and sets Jeff off on a journey we are still to see resolved, so you can see why Fox would put focus on this over the more pedestrian real anniversary episode. And, judging by how few noticed the discrepancy, they seem to have got away with it.
