8. Season 4 Songs Are About Freaks
Theres been a bit of controversy surrounding characters singing songs on season four of the show, but there is logic to the scenes. Although the characters are singing songs that were released after 1952, the time in which Freak Show takes place, there is a deep and unique reason to the idea. Creator Ryan Murphy revealed in an interview that he picked the songs because the artists who made them were known as or referred to as freaks. Artists that have featured so far are David Bowie, Lana Del Rey and Nirvana.
