20 More TV Acting Performances That Are Totally Flawless

As far as sitcom concepts go, Community is one of the most simple - a seriously mismatched study group at a community college find common ground and band together to survive their stabs at adult education.

What makes it so riveting is the execution, which finds the show's characters living in an increasingly hilarious universe that seems to realise it's in a TV show. No one is more aware of the show's meta-commentary than Abed Nadir, an eccentric movie and TV fanatic whose eccentricities often find him unintentionally clashing with his friends as he tries to figure out what makes people tick.

Abed is played with charming joy by Danny Pudi, whose job as the show's resident pop culture know-it-all strikes a perfect balance between its meta style and surprisingly heartfelt emotional core.

With fast-talking wit, blunt put-downs and an air of innocence that makes even his most bizarre actions endearing, Abed is the show's best character, and most of that comes down to just how much fun Pudi clearly having in the role.
