20 More TV Shows That Are Practically Flawless
10. Frasier
Just like its predecessor Cheers, Frasier was a sitcom of almost unrivalled popularity and depth, continuing the story of Kelsey Grammar's verbose psychiatrist Frasier Crane as he moves to Seattle to reconnect with his peculiar family and take up a job as a radio host.
Despite its premise being a relatively standard one for the sitcom genre, the series constantly found ways to keep viewers engaged and separate itself from the pack, with much of its unique shine coming from the wonderfully pompous performance of Grammar, and co-stars John Mahoney, David Hyde Pierce, and Jane Leeves.
A quick-witted comedy of errors that could switch between the mundane and bizarre and make each development feel just as funny as the last, Frasier's troubled romances, silly family dynamics and occasional heart made it soar almost as high as its seminal inspiration, whilst feeling very much like its own world.
